Respiratory and Circulatory Systems
For this exciting project we chose two systems in the body to learn about to then make a model to show how they work together and how they can work seperatly as well. My group and I thought about how we could show our systems in a simple but challenging way. I came up with the idea to make a tape body to put fake organs inside to show our systems. We learned this technique from a student in our class that had taken art because they had done this tape man before. We started by choosing our victim then started with the torso and added the two arms after. We got plastic containers and tubes to add all togetehr to make a working "heart" and "lungs". we also had the "veins" which carried our blood throughout the body. These two systems work together by the heart pumping the blood (circulatory) and then having that blood go back to the lungs to get oxygenated (respiratory).
Concepts
Heart- major organ for the circulatory system
Lungs- major organ for the respiratory system
Circulatory system- the function is to pump blood and transport resources and waste throughout the body
Respiratory system- the function is to help you breath to stay living with oxygen that comes from the plants around you
Working together- these two systems work very well together, the circulatory system pumps the blood throughout your body and the lungs help oxygenate that blood which is the respiratory system.

Reflection
Overall this project went very well and very smoothly. My group had very good tactics on how exactly to make the model and we also worked very well together on communication througout the whole project. I believe that I learned a lot from this project. I learned how to work with people I don't work with on a daily basis and I also learned a lot about all the systems in your body and what functions they carry out. This project could have probably been better if we spent just a litte more time figuring out how the inside would work instead of worrying about our tape model. This would have guarenteed that everything inside would work smoothly everytime we tried our project. I really enjoyed this project. It was the perfect way to end the first semester.
